Hair Envy...

Ok so recently i've been really wanting a change with my hair...
I've never really done any backcombing before, i have a fringe but i find it annoying sometimes and i mainly just straightened my hair, and perhaps braided it a bit...

However i now want a change...im sick of not looking unique or noticable...i wanna make an impact :) but mainly it's about feeling good about yourself.
Im REALLY loving the voluminous, curly hair type look..
These are photo's of the hair i want :)
(Shout out to Zoe, you can check her blog out here: http://schoee.blogspot.com/ if you haven't already :)

Health and Fitness...

Hello Ladies :)
So recently i have been feeling quite depressed about my current diet, exercise etc. I have recently started a new job and as a result of this i am working everyday all day, and it's so busy and stressful, that i literally don't have much time to eat, even if i wanted to.

And we all know about the dreaded 'convenience food', and when i have actually got home from work, i'm waay to exhausted to organise something healthy for lunch the next day, or even go to the gym..so it's a vicious cycle. And im not sure if any of you guys feel this, but im actually much more happier when im eating healthy, i mean yes...sometimes instead of an apple you think: 'Oh wedges would be rather lovely right now'...but i think what we have to understand is, that this is just a temporary feeling...you may be happy at the time, but later on you start feeling depressed, whereas if you've eaten healthy, your pretty much congratulating yourself and you feel happy...

I have a Gym Membership that commences on November the 1st, and i was thinking about strategically planning ahead..as i literally don't have much time to eat, if all i had was healthy food, then i could easily lose weight :) i know...it's a no brainer right? But the more we do something, the easier it is...once you crack that barrier (usually 5 days of eating right)...it's a breeezee..And i mean face it...how much money do we waste at the cafetera? You'll even be saving money, which you could otherwise use on makeup...it's a win win...

I also thought i would post some pictures of how i would like to look...i am completely aware, that everyone is different...my body frame is essentially the same as Stephanie Rice (she is an australian swimmer for those internationals) and no matter how much i can try, i cannot be like Cheryl Cole coz we have a different build, but it's still good motivational images to help you lose weight...if you have any tips ladies on losing weight, fittness, general health etc. Feel free to comment :) :) (Below: Stephanie Rice, Cheryl Cole, Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus)

Body Shop Perfume Haul...

The Body Shop:

So recently i was having a look
in my local body shop, and i came across these perfumes. I had heard alot about body shop perfumes, and how they stay on your skin for ages, and they have a rather large range of scents.
So i picked up the Moroccan Rose Eau De Toilette and the Neroli Jasmin Eau De Toilette.
Now the Neroli Jasmin is a very strong, sharp scent so you have to be careful you don't drench yourself, just a tiny amoung on your wrists, or next or beneath your knees. It's quite a nice fragrance, however my favorite one is the Moroccan Rose. It's absolutely stunning and it's really unique in it's scent.
The Body Shops describes the Neroli Jasmin as: 'A luminous and dazzling floral oriental scent to wear everyday, all year long. Feel mysterious and captivating.'
And the Moroccan Rose as: 'A sophisticated and feminine rose fragrance that captures the beauty and romance of Valentine's. It contains indulgent Moroccan Rose extract to fragrance the skin.'
What im really excited about though, is that with the Body Shop, if they have a perfume they will have a whole range of other products related to the scent ie. you can get Moroccan Rose Body Butter, Moroccan Rose Shower Gel, Moroccan Rose Body Milk, Moroccan Rose Body Mist...and you get the idea. This is the same for the Neroli Jasmin.
I definately suggest you check out The Body Shop's Fragrance range!
I'm definately going to be going back and investigating! :)
You should totally check out their website: http://www.thebodyshop.com.au/

Mini Natio Skin Care Haul and Review...

Natio:

A while back i purchased some Natio products.
They were the Natio Renew Radiance Foam Cleanser, Gentle Foaming Facial Cleanser, Gentle Facial Scrub and the Renew Radiance Eye Cream.

So far i have been very happy with them, and the results.

They have a nice organic type smell, and the scrub is not harsh at all. I have noticed a definate decrease in blemish's since i have been using these products.

The one product that i would like to rave about nowm is the Renew Radiance Eye Cream. I apply this after i have moisturised to my under eye, and lid.
The product claims to: 'Reduces puffiness, eliminates bags and diminishes the appearance of fine lines.'
The benefits include: 'fast absorbing plant extracts to reduce the appearance of puffiness and fine lines. Helps to reveal bright, even-toned skin around the eyes.'

I am incredibly impressed with this product! I definately noticed a drastic decrease in my under eye bags (i was always so annoyed that i couldn't get rid of them)

Both the Renew Radiance Foam Cleanser and Gentle Foaming Facial Cleanser are very nice! They are light, gentle and very cleansing. I would definately repurchase these.

The reason i purchased these, was because i had never owned any Natio before, and by my experience from these, i shall definately be repurchasing these, and having a look at their makeup range. If you have any recommendations then please comment, i really appreciate it! :)

Check out their website: http://www.natio.com.au/

a total romantic at heart..

Hey Ladies,

this will be a non beauty related post.

Im very much a reader, i love reading books. There is something about immersing yourself in another world, and forgetting about yours. I've always had a really good imagination, and i've always wanted to be a writer. I have a few drafts for many potential novels.
But here are a few books that i have read recently (each one i have read at least twice)
(From Left) Mr Cavendish i Presume, The Lost Duke of Wyndham, Minx - By Julia Quinn.

My favorite author is Julia Quinn, and i absolutely adore all of her books! Im very much a historical romantic, mainly from the regency era.
If you are into reading, then i definately recommend you read these books, or basically anything by her.

Mr Cavendish I Presume and The Lost Duke of Wyndman, are both kind of sequals, if you can call them that. They are basically the story of the two main characters in the story line, and they tell of the same story, only from the different point of view.

Mr Cavendish I Presume: 'Amelia Willoughby has been engaged to the Duke of Wyndham for as long as she can remember. Literally. A mere six months old when the contracts were signed, she has spent the rest of her life waiting. And waiting. And waiting . . . for Thomas Cavendish, the oh-so-lofty duke, to finally get around to marrying her. But as she watches him from afar, she has a sneaking suspicion that he never thinks about her at all . . .
It's true. He doesn't. Thomas rather likes having a fiancée—all the better to keep the husband-hunters at bay—and he does intend to marry her . . . eventually. But just when he begins to realize that his bride might be something more than convenient, Thomas's world is rocked by the arrival of his long-lost cousin, who may or may not be the true Duke of Wyndham. And if Thomas is not the duke, then he's not engaged to Amelia. Which is the cruelest joke of all, because this arrogant and illustrious duke has made the mistake of falling in love . . . with his own fiancée!'

The Lost Duke of Wyndman: 'Jack Audley has been a highwayman. A soldier. And he has always been a rogue. What he is not, and never wanted to be, is a peer of the realm, responsible for an ancient heritage and the livelihood of hundreds. But when he is recognized as the long-lost son of the House of Wyndham, his carefree life is over. And if his birth proves to be legitimate, then he will find himself with the one title he never wanted: Duke of Wyndham.
Grace Eversleigh has spent the last five years toiling as the companion to the dowager Duchess of Wyndham. It is a thankless job, with very little break from the routine... until Jack Audley lands in her life, all rakish smiles and debonair charm. He is not a man who takes no for an answer, and when she is in his arms, she's not a woman who wants to say no. But if he is the true duke, then he is the one man she can never have...'

(from left) As Luck Would Have It by Alissa Johnson, At the Bride Hunt Ball by Olivia Parker, and Lady Beware by Jo Beverly.

I absolutely loved these books. If you are a book lover, you should definately check them out!

As Luck Would Have It: 'A Regency romance in the tradition of Julia Quinn about a young woman who returns to London after several years abroad to discover her family nearly destitute, the Prince Regent determined to engage her services as a spy, and a darkly delicious duke ready to foil her at every turn.'

At the Bride Hunt Ball: 'Gabriel Devine, the Duke of Wolverest, has no interest in marriage, so it's up to his younger brother to continue the line. To help him along, the duke arranges a house party with seven eligible ladies for his brother to choose from. After all, marrying a man who will one day be a duke is more than most girls could hope for. But, when one of the ladies shows great reluctance, the duke finds himself rethinking his views on marriage. Madelyn Heywood has no interest in marrying a rake, especially one with the reputation of the Devine brothers. Now, she has no choice but to accept her invitation, if only to protect her best friend from a broken heart. And as her desperation to avoid marriage brings her closer to Gabriel, both may soon find that the last thing they thought they wanted is the one thing they truly need. '

Lady Beware: 'Returning home from the war, Horatio Cave, now the Viscount Darien, is determined to restore the luster to the Cave name, which has been tarnished by scandal. The key element in Horatio's campaign to win back the ton is Lady Theodosia Debenham. Horatio offers to clear the recent rumor that her brother Dare deserted the field at Waterloo if Thea will pretend to be his fiancée for at least six weeks. Determined to help her beloved brother no matter the cost, Thea agrees, even though it means she must spend all of her free time with the deliciously dark, definitely dangerous, and decidedly sexy Horatio.'

(From left) Fair Juno, Four in Hand, and Impetuous Innocent by Stephanie Laurens.

Stephanie Laurens is a successful australian author who has fast become a best seller.
She is coming second after Julia Quinn as my fav author.

Fair Juno: 'Kidnapped in the small hours, Miss Helen Walford had spent the day being battered and jostled, tied and gagged, trussed and trapped in a worn-out chaise. She was rescued by the infamous Martin Willisden - a rakehell who had been banished to the army, now scandalously raised to the rank of Earl of Merton! To add insult to injury, the proper Miss Walford had been forced into a compromising situation with her wicked saviour. Her only defence lay in anonymity. But captured by her beauty and bravery, the Earl of Merton knew that he had to find his mysterious lady.'

Four in Hand: 'Max Rotherbridge couldn't believe it. Along with the dukedom of Twyford, he -- London's most notorious rogue -- had inherited wardship of four devilishly attractive sisters! Including the irresistible Caroline Twinning. The eldest Twinning was everything he had ever wanted in a woman, but even Max couldn't seduce his own ward . . . or could he? After all, he did have a substantial reputation to protect. And what better challenge than the one woman capable of stealing his heart?'

This is a really good book! This one i really enjoyed, and it's really funny too!

Impetuous Innocent: 'After the death of her father, Georgiana Hartley returns home to England - only to be confronted with the boorish advances of her cousin. Knowing no one, she flees to Dominic Ridgely's state, hoping the nobleman will bestow a neighborly kindness upon her. The viscount hears Georgiana's plea to find her a position as a lady's companion with barely concealed ill humor. A lovely innocent such as Miss Hartley subjected to that wretched existence? The very idea is preposterous. Instead, he takes matters into his own hands, introducing her to his sister's influence. Suddenly Georgiana is transformed into a lady, charming the ton and cultivating a bevy of suitors. Everything is unfolding according to Dominic's plan . . . until he realizes that he desires Georgiana for his own.'

A Study In Scandal by Robyn DeHart

This is the book i am currently reading now. Im kinda annoyed when these books have soppy front covers, coz it's hard to read in public, unless your folding the front cover over, otherwise it's awkward..and really the front cover has nothing to do with the story, i just buy them for the plot or story. However you want to call it.

Im really liking this book so far. This is what it says on the back: : 'Lady Amelia Watersfield's lighthearted detecting club becomes more than simply an intriguing diversion when her father's priceless Egyptian artifact is stolen under his very nose. Now the game is afoot in earnest -- and Amelia nearly swoons to discover the detective assigned to "assist" her is a handsome, brilliant, and breathtaking investigator who might as well be a young SherlockHolmes himself!
Inspector Colin Brindley has no interest in encouraging a meddling beauty who imagines herself Watson to his Holmes. But Amelia is as sharp-witted and brave as she is lovely -- and in their wild hunt for an elusive thief, Colin's heart may end up being the precious object that's gotten truly purloined.'

Nutrimetics Haul...

Hey ladies.
So recently i purchased a rather lot of Nutrimetics Products.

For those who are unfamiliar of the brand 'Nutrimetics', (you can check out their website: http://www.nutrimetics.com.au/portal/ ) essentially was discovered when the apricot kernel was discovered in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains. The oil derived from the apricot kernel was responsible for the youthful appearance of the local inhabitants despite the harsh environment.

So here are what i purchased. (Note: i was not sent these products by Nutrimetics, i purchased them with my own money, and i was NOT asked to do this)

Nutrimetics Nutri-Rich Oil (pump and tub)
These are the sizes that they come in. You have the smaller version which is just ideal for your handbag, very portable. Then there is the larger version, that is a kind of intensive moituriser for your face, and then there is the pump which is less intensive but an ideal everystay moisturiser. (It was smaller than i thought it would be)

'This is the icon of the Nutrimetics range. This highly-concentrated blend of Apricot Kernel and Carrot Oils with Vitamin E supplements the natural oil supply of the skin to relieve dryness and increase its ability to hold moisture. Skin appears firmer and fine lines and wrinkles smoother.'
It's ingredients include: Apricot Kernel Oil, Carrot Oil, Vitamin E.

Skin Type: All except oily

My personal experience so far with these products is complete satisfaction, and the smell is delicious! It's hard for me not to just lick the product off my lips!

I really recommend these products!

Nutrimetics Nutri-Spa Intensive Hand Balm and Rejuvinating Hand Scrub

I purchased these products mainly coz i liked the packaged, but also because i realised i didn't have any decent hand balm, and i didn't own any Hand Scrub.

Nutrimetics claim (for the scrub) : 'A unique hand scrub enriched with Amethyst - the Release mineral - which encourages the letting go of the old to make way for the new. Volcanic Lava Stone and Calendula Extract soften, smooth and rejuvenate.'
It's Ingredients include: Amethyst, Volcanic Lava Stone, Calendula Extract, and it suits all skin types.
They claim for the hand balm: 'A rich, nourishing crème with Sapphire - the Balance mineral - to free the mind's energy flow, bringing clarity and perspective. Shea Butter and Aloe Vera Juice soften, soothe, moisturise and protect hands.'
The Ingredients include: Sapphire, Shea Butter, Aloe Vera Juice, and it's suitable for all skin types.

I absolutely LOVE these products! They smell absolutely lovely! The hand scrub is not too harsh, and after you have scrubbed and moisturised you just want to show everyone...they are SO smooth!

I actually use them as a foot scrub and and a foot moisturiser, which i know they are not intended for, but they work just as well!

I DEFINATELY recommend these products!

(From left:) Hydrafinity Skin Hydrator, Hydrafinity Skin Invigorator, Hydrafinity Refreshing Cleansing Gel, Hydrafinity Revitalising Toning Mist and the Hydrafinity Eye Rejuvenator.

(Cleansing Gel) 'Exhilarate and hydrate with this gentle foaming gel. Aquatic Iris Extract gently cleanses away make-up and impurities as Alpine Glacial Water delivers revitalising moisture to the skin. Skin is left refreshingly clean and exhilarated.'
Ingredients: Alpine Glacial Water, Aquatic Iris Extract.

Suitable for all except dry skin type.

(Skin hyrdator) 'This remarkably light gel-crème delivers round-the-clock hydration thanks to exhilarating Alpine Glacial Water and a unique Hydrating Complex. Antioxidant-rich Vitamin C helps minimise free radical damage. The complexion is left healthy and hydrated with a radiant glow.'
Ingredients: Alpine Glacial Water, Vitamin C, 24hr Hydrating Complex Skin Type: All except dry.

(Invigorator) 'A uniquely textured exfoliating crème powered by exfoliating Jojoba Beads and exhilarating Swiss Peppermint Extract to purify and cool as it polishes away dull and dead skin cells. Leaves the complexion gorgeously refreshed and enlivened.'
Ingredients: Alpine Glacial Water, Jojoba Beads, Swiss Peppermint Extract, Lemon Flower Extract Skin Type: All except dry

(Toning Mist) 'A refreshing preparation with Orange Flower Extract and Alpine Glacial Water to gently tone and condition the skin in preparation for moisturiser. Can also be used to give skin a quick refreshing pick-me-up during the day.'
Ingredients: Alpine Glacial Water, Orange Flower Extract Skin Type: All except dry

(Eye rejuvinator) 'This super-hydrating gel targets the first signs of ageing. Enriched with Mountain Bilberry Extract to firm skin around the eyes and reduce the appearance of puffiness while Peptides address the causes of dark circles. The eye area is left looking brighter and refreshed.'
Ingredients: Alpine Glacial Water, Mountain Bilberry Extract, Peptides Skin Type: All except dry.

All in all, this is a very good skin care range, and i recommend you trying them. The smell is nice, not too strong, and eye rejuvinator is...uhh very rejuvinating ;)

(below: skin hydrator)

I also purchased two of the Nutrimetics Apricot Body Dew Body Lotion, as this works VERY well, it's incredibly moisturising. I apply it all over my body after i shower. The only thing i do not like about this product is it's smell..It's not necessarily bad, or overwhelming i just think the smell stays on my skin for too long (i usually love this, but if it had a different smell?)

Well it says: 'This light non-greasy lotion with nourishing Apricot Kernel Oil is rapidly absorbed by the skin to boost moisture levels and prevent drying. Skin feels soft and smooth and radiates a healthy glow.'
Ingredients: Apricot Kernel Oil, Carrot, Wheatgerm Oil. Skin Type: All

Nutrimetics Loofah Shower Gel

This product claims: 'A high-performance body scrub with Loofah Particles to gently exfoliate and smooth the skin and Glycerin and Sweet Almond Oil to hydrate and nourish. Skin is left clean and tingling with improved texture and radiance.'
Ingredients: Loofah Particles, Honey, Sweet Almond Oil Skin Type: All.

I really like this product. It exfoliates well, without being harsh. The smell is lovely, and it lingers on your skin for a while after your shower. And i really notice that my skin is quite soft, and has a supleness to it (if that is even possible). As you can see, it is well used! My only annoyance, is that it runs out quite fast (or perhaps i just use it too much) but nutrimetic products are rather expensive, so now i try to use this on occasion.

Nutrimetics Ultra Care+ Micro-Dermabrasion Kit
'Transform the appearance of your skin from the first application. This innovative skin-renewal system gently buffs away the visible signs of ageing to leave the complexion glowing with renewed radiance. Kit includes Step 1 Resurfacer 60ml and Step 2 Rehydrator SPF 25.'
Ingredients: Micro-fine Quartz Crystals, SPF 25, Lavender Flower Extract, Sea Buckthorn Oil Skin Type: All except sensitive
I use this kit once a week, and the result is awesome! Example, if i use it on my nose, my nose will be smooth and shiny.
This kit was quite expensive, however it was much cheaper than getting it done professionally.
I am quite happy with the Nutrimetics Products i have purchased, and i will definately be repurchasing them :)

Top 3 Inspirations...

Hey Ladies...

So i thought i would do a post on the females who motivate me for example. Health, Beauty, Fashion etc.
I just love seeing the latest trends on fashion and beauty, and to be quite frank i could easily just sit down at my computer and go through photo after photo (like that's not stalkerish at all!)

I do have a tumblr, but i never really post on there (i haven't for a while) so i thought i would make this a half blog, half tumblr of sorts...just people and things that inspire me...

Ciao x

Lauren Conrad: Now quite honestly who DOESN'T consider her to be an inspiration? I love her style, her personality and the fact she always stands up for what she believes!

She has such a classic style which i love, however she isn't afraid to broaden her taste..And her clothing line is amazing!

Cheryl Cole: I absolutely LOVE her! I think she is the most beautiful woman! Im also utterly in love with her hair, her style...and her dymples ;)

Kim Kardashian: Another utterly curvaceous and beautiful woman! She is bringing neutral and smokey colours BACK! She has the whole dark woman look going on, and i just love her style...and her body!
