Weight loss + Overall health...

Hey lovelies!

Well this blog post has been coming for a while i think! Recently i have been feeling really miserable and like crap. Quite mainly because of the foods i have been eating, my mindset and just the amount of exercise i have been doing.

I have a gym membership like everyone has i suppose, but i never was able to get to the gym because it was not near any bus stop, and i don't currently own a car and in my family we only have 2 cars between 4 people who all work and go to uni. Whilst this IS a real excuse, i kinda thought to myself...you MAKING excuses.

So i had a look in my DVD collection and i discovered a whole set of Pilates DVD's. I was like: 'Where the heck did these come from?' Then i remembered that my Nana had put my name into a competition and i had won them. I was like: 'Now you have NO excuse!'

Whatever other people may think, it's actually incredibly expensive to fund your own private gym at home, so i thought if my exercise regime was pilates then it would be much easier to exercise. Face it the only reason none of us like the idea of going to the gym is because it requires getting out of our trackies..

I did a trial run..and its sad to say that i finished the warm up (20 minutes) and then the instructor said, now we can start! I was like: 'Excuse me?? Wasn't that it??' Needless to say i was rather sore the day after. But in any case that's my exercise regime sorted.

Then i focused on food. Yesterday i read a blog post that hit the spot. It was by Joolie and i'll link her blogpost: http://brokenblush.blogspot.com/2011/06/weighing-on-my-mind.html

I also stumbled across a Youtube channel guru, her name is Andrea and she has a website: http://www.amazingbodynow.com/

She really helped me drop-kick all my preconcieved 'je ne sais pas how to do this' and 'this won't work, it hasn't before' notions away! She used this analogy in one of her video's.

'You look in the supermarket and you look at the back of the products and see how many chemicals and additives they have. Then you look at a broccoli and there's no label. Why? Because the only thing that is in it is Brocolli. If you eat things without labels then your fine. Just eat natural foods!'

This really opened my eyes! And i am confident that i can continue and be successful. Why? Because i know i can! The past never happened, look to the future of having an utterly amazing body!!

I'll finish here by posting a music video that really helped me. Weird i know..it's possibly because she looks so beautiful, mysterious, sexy, graceful. But there was just something about it. It's 'Parachute by Cheryl Cole' - (If it doesn't show then just check it out on youtube) She is now my inspiration for losing weight :) Ill also leave you with photo's that inspire me...Adios x

1940's Dress up - HELP??

Hey lovely ladies...

So im attending a 1940's dress up, and im really needing some advice...You know...The Notebook, Pearl Harbour...The Candy Man Music Video by Christina...Veronica Lake, Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly..Im thinking an outfit along the lines of these (included) and really neutral makeup with a red lip..Flawless complexion but with blush..but the only situation is...that all the hairstyles that i like, require having rollers in and i am going to have NO opportunity to put rollers in my hair...would just a 1 inch barrel curler do the same thing?? Anyhoo leave a comment on what you think...

P.S I absolutely ADORE lace, and i am determind to include it somehow...lace was in then..right?? I don't have to look TOTALLY 40's..just similar? (aka im really wanting lace in this piece) x

Upcoming Trends!

Hello beautiful's!

I've really been noticing some things that are coming through, and i predict that they shalll be rather huge! Just thought i would share some with you!

Feathered Extensions:

I adore these! I really think they look very bohemian, and im SUCH a boho girl..(note to self: try not to look a hippie!)

Lace:

Although this was already a HUGE vogue, i think Kate Middleton's wedding dress will create a resurgance!! Personally i own a HUGE amount of lacey numbers.

Anyhoo x

Hair Envy...

Ok so recently i've been really wanting a change with my hair...
I've never really done any backcombing before, i have a fringe but i find it annoying sometimes and i mainly just straightened my hair, and perhaps braided it a bit...

However i now want a change...im sick of not looking unique or noticable...i wanna make an impact :) but mainly it's about feeling good about yourself.
Im REALLY loving the voluminous, curly hair type look..
These are photo's of the hair i want :)
(Shout out to Zoe, you can check her blog out here: http://schoee.blogspot.com/ if you haven't already :)

(Shout out to Annabella/babe i love your hair: http://annaxbella.blogspot.com/)

Health and Fitness...

Hello Ladies :)
So recently i have been feeling quite depressed about my current diet, exercise etc. I have recently started a new job and as a result of this i am working everyday all day, and it's so busy and stressful, that i literally don't have much time to eat, even if i wanted to.

And we all know about the dreaded 'convenience food', and when i have actually got home from work, i'm waay to exhausted to organise something healthy for lunch the next day, or even go to the gym..so it's a vicious cycle. And im not sure if any of you guys feel this, but im actually much more happier when im eating healthy, i mean yes...sometimes instead of an apple you think: 'Oh wedges would be rather lovely right now'...but i think what we have to understand is, that this is just a temporary feeling...you may be happy at the time, but later on you start feeling depressed, whereas if you've eaten healthy, your pretty much congratulating yourself and you feel happy...

I have a Gym Membership that commences on November the 1st, and i was thinking about strategically planning ahead..as i literally don't have much time to eat, if all i had was healthy food, then i could easily lose weight :) i know...it's a no brainer right? But the more we do something, the easier it is...once you crack that barrier (usually 5 days of eating right)...it's a breeezee..And i mean face it...how much money do we waste at the cafetera? You'll even be saving money, which you could otherwise use on makeup...it's a win win...

I also thought i would post some pictures of how i would like to look...i am completely aware, that everyone is different...my body frame is essentially the same as Stephanie Rice (she is an australian swimmer for those internationals) and no matter how much i can try, i cannot be like Cheryl Cole coz we have a different build, but it's still good motivational images to help you lose weight...if you have any tips ladies on losing weight, fittness, general health etc. Feel free to comment :) :) (Below: Stephanie Rice, Cheryl Cole, Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus)

Makeup Nutrimetics Haul...

Hello Ladies!

Well i purchased some more nutrimetics products, however instead of skincare i purchased some products from their makeup line.

I picked up the Nutrimetics Primer, Nutrimetics Colour Intense Lipstick in Rosie, Nutrimetics Sheer Tint in Medium, Nutrimetics Lash Impact in Black, Nutrimetics Defining Eye Pencil in Lapis and Charcoal, Nutrimetics Classic Fusion Full-Colour Lipstick Pallete, and the Nutrimetics Satin Smooth Eyeshadow and Radiant Glow Blush Pallete *pause for breath*
Woahh, so yeah..With the two palettes they are actually the consultant demonstration case. The only reason i purchased this particually was because they were in a pallette, i actually don't think you can get them like this...im not entirely sure, i think you can buy the shadows seperate?
